In the beautiful setting of Ladce Castle, on Friday, February 28, 2025, at 5:00 PM, a vernissage took place where we had the opportunity to look at the magnificent works of the artist Miro Gregor, who lives and works in Trenčianska Teplá.
Mirko is not only a talented artist, but also a person who is characterized by a deep love for freedom, a sense for the unique moment, cordiality, and openness. His works reflect his personality—unbound, playful, and attentive to everything that surrounds him. His oil paintings have their own fascinating story. Each of Mirko's works invites us on a journey into a world full of colors, symbolism, and thoughts. Whether it's the charm of nature with its beautiful play of light and shadow, or a philosophical reflection on the meaning of existence... The paintings gently lead us to contemplation...

The restoration of the manor house was realized within the MaHoLa project thanks to the EEA and Norway Grants in Slovakia

Tomorrow 28.02.2025 we'll see you at another beautiful vernissage 🥰 this time you'll see beautiful paintings by Miroslav Gregor.
This exhibition "Stories in paintings" will last until 22.04.2025.

MaHoLa Castle is very happy about the visits of young and old generations.

Let's appreciate the heritage of our ancestors.

The year 2025 is a year of important anniversaries for our castle.

In January, 200 years have passed since the death of Pavol Motešický (1736-1825), the owner of the castle and an important representative of the Trenčín County. To this day, his hand-painted mortuary - today we would say an obituary - with his coat of arms and titles has been preserved, which you can read more about on Slovakiana - cultural heritage of Slovakia.

We have prepared a presentation about the Motešický (not only) in Ladce, which you can find on our website

In July, we will celebrate the 100th anniversary of the consecration of the castle as the central monastery of the Vincentian order (1925). The monastery was consecrated by the Bishop of Nitra Karol Kmeťko and it was an event that was unparalleled far and wide. We will address the topic in more detail in the summer.
