During the Open Day at MaHoLa Castle in Ladce, we will also provide space for another amazing event that connects the Slovak and Polish traditions of bread making.
We will once again remember the parallels between the Polish and Slovak bread traditions at the event Chlieb náš každodenný. After last year's successful collaboration with the MaHoLa team, this year we will again move to the courtyard of Motešickí Castle in the village of Ladce, known for its cement factory and the youngest pilgrimage site in Slovakia (the Rocky Sanctuary of Divine Mercy on Butkov Hill).

This year, visitors can also look forward to workshops on baking bread and other sourdough treats, including tastings, as well as themed creative workshops for the little ones and concerts by two bands. On this day, the castle will open not only its reconstructed spaces but also those that visitors do not normally get to see. The MaHoLa team is also preparing a rich accompanying program, from the opening of a new café, to exhibitions, stalls, and children's workshops. So, not only children but also adults, history lovers, good food, and culture enthusiasts will find something they enjoy.

During the coming week, we will also introduce you to the names of this year's sourdough bakers.
